There's a new business in the family: my brother Michael has bought one of his favourite places, an artisanal salmon smokehouse near his home in Chelsea, Quebec, and has spent months learning how to smoke. Salmon.
They'll be opening in a few weeks. Imagine, we now have limitless supplies of delicious smoked salmon in the family! I'm happy and proud - wish my parents could be at the opening. If you're in Ottawa, take a quick ride over the bridge to Quebec and give yourself a treat.

I'll try this out on my next trip to Ottawa! Looks delicious. Older son works in Gatineau so we often cross the river...

ReplyDeleteBeth,like all Gordins,i'm a smoked salmon lush.Rarely without it in the fridge,and when i am there's a restaurant(wisely called Bread and Chocolate)mere minutes away ... and always well stocked with salmon and cream cheese,etc,not to mention fresh baked bagel,challah or whatever other bakery item you crave for your "lox". Is Michael planning to sell by mail?
