the greatest blessings
They weren't expected till the end of the month but arrived yesterday. Opening the first box and holding the newborn for the first time is an overwhelming moment for a writer. Joy. I sent a birth announcement to friends: she's here, the perfect size, weight, and colour, so far missing only a comma on page 19.

Juliet, yes, and from other bookstores - Barnes&Noble, Chapters/Indigo... It's available as an e-book, though as I say, the print book is beautiful. And there will be an audiobook too, I hope. Not available till Sept. 9 however. Let me know if you can find it easily, Juliet. And one day soon, i'll do the same for your book!

When you mention an author's joy on holding the actual finished book for the first time, I think of the scene in the recent version of Little Women (which I saw in a theatre - remember those?) of Meg caressing her leather- bound book. Can't wait to read it. Tried to order it last night on Indigo but only the ebook can be pre-ordered and I want the real thing. Pat

After Sept. 9 the book will be widely available, including from Ben McNally, who's now on East Adelaide St. There's a book launch that day here, distanced, and via Zoom too. I'll send you info.
