Richard's eyrie in Nocelle

He's nearly blind from macular degeneration, but it's hard to tell.
Everything, of course, is either up or down. There's no sideways.
He bought the land from a friend and designed and helped build his house.

 Lope.
Grilled radiccio from his garden
His after lunch cigarette. That's his view.
At least part of it. From his front door.
Man and dog, at home, on the side of a cliff.

  1. I'd love to know what kind of dog that is. I'm trying to remember Richard but simply can't place him. Of course I remember Walls as I typed the script. What character was he. And I do remember Brian.

  2. Hi Beth -- it's been too long since I've been on your blog. Your photos, as usual, are lovely!! I was just in the Cinque Terre at the end of March, and with your photos too, I'm thinking that there is no flat land in Italy! Stunning views -- I do like the pair of Italian men on the boat, and this house is a delight -- love the mosaic floor. All the best to you!
